Salmon Life Cycle Vase

A folk art–style vase depicting the life cycle of the Pink Salmon, a fish native to the Great Lakes. It showcases the cyclical nature of salmon as they progress from egg to juvenile, then to their saltwater form, and finally to their freshwater form. With each transitional stage, fewer fish are represented, showing how many individuals do not make it to the final stage, and how those that do reach maturity create a new generation to continue the great migration.
